These technologies are needed for core functionality such as keeping you signed in, remembering your language and theme, and storing event filter preferences.

• Authentication session (Supabase): keeps you logged in securely.
• Language preference: remembers the interface language you selected.
• Theme preference: remembers light, dark, or system appearance.
• Event list filters: remembers category, location, date range, cost, show-past-events, and related browsing preferences.
• Demo data filter (admin): distinguishes demo versus real content where enabled.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure traffic and performance. What is stored and for how long follows Vercel’s documentation and our deployment configuration [TODO: deployment configuration].

Marketing / attribution

When you arrive via campaign links, we may store attribution parameters (such as UTM fields or referrer information) in first-party cookies so conversions can be understood after in-app navigation. Details are documented in the analytics feature spec.

Consent and controls

Where required, we will tie non-essential cookies to the consent choices presented in the product. A Cookie settings link in the footer will open the preference experience once implemented [TODO: cookie settings].
